Believe it or not. There are still places on the planet that don’t have cell phone reception. A lot of places in Glacier National Park fall under that category. When you’re coming into Glacier, you need to be prepared to not have cell reception for a long time. If there’s some sort of an emergency, even if you do have a GPS system or an SOS button on your device, it’s gonna be a long time before help can get to you. If you’re doing any sort of backcountry travel at all we highly recommend that you go out and either purchase or rent some sort of a GPS SOS system just in case, worst case scenario.
