Visitors to Glacier National Park that make a stop along Lake McDonald are able to see several recent wildfire burn sites. Garrett tells us more about these fires-- when they occurred and where they burned.
Garrett what’s with all the dead trees around here? Great question Anthony these trees on the western side of Lake McDonald perished in the 2018 Howell Ridge fire and that’s not to be confused with the 2017 Sprague Creek Fire here on the Eastern side of Lake McDonald and unfortunately that was the fire that actually took out Sperry Chalet, which is now been rebuilt.
