What’s Included in your Trip Fee: All meals, lodging, transportation, and fun!

**A valid Montana fishing license is required for all campers 12 years and older. You can purchase a 2-day license for the camp dates or a full 2026 season fishing license at http://fwp.mt.gov/fish/license/ (Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks website).

**Please let us know as soon as possible if your child has any special requirements (dietary, medical, physical, etc.) so we may meet their needs. You may send snacks with your child, but all food must be stored in special bins in the Mess Hall to avoid any curious critters visiting our bunkhouses.

Hike Details

  • This Glacier Institute program meets at Big Creek Outdoor Education Center, 6500 N Fork Rd, Polebridge, MT 59928
  • The program will begin 3:00 p.m. on day 1 and ends at 1:00 p.m. on the final day. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
  • Current Montana Fishing License, you can purchase one at ols.fwp.mt.gov
  • There is a maximum number of 13 campers per camp.
  • This program has a minimum guest count of 3 people. In the unlikely case we don’t reach that number, you will be notified prior to the event.

What to Bring

We spend as much time as possible outside in the sun, rain, snow, wind, and mud, and there are a few important gear items you are going to need. Labeling your belongings with your name is a fantastic way to make sure they all make it home with you. We do not have the ability to do laundry at our facility, so please pack accordingly.
