Camp Details
During a three-day, overnight camp, participants will learn from Glacier National Park and Glacier Institute staff about Glacier’s cultural resources–specifically the science of archeology. Through science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM), your child will learn the importance of cultural resources found and protected within the park and discover stories from the past using archeological methods and tools. Participants will also learn life-long skills in leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving
Summer 2023 Dates & Times
The Middle School Girls STEAM Camp will be held June 21-23, 2023 beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday June 21 and ending at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023.
STEAM Camp Location
The camp is based out of our Big Creek Outdoor Education Center, located 22 miles north of Columbia Falls along the North Fork of the Flathead River, adjacent to Glacier National Park.
Application Information
We are currently soliciting applications for this amazing experience. We are looking for a diverse pool of candidates from the regional area and across Montana. Applicants from other states may apply, but preference will be given to Montana residents. We envision this camp to be engaging, full of learning, and fun and hope to recruit participants who are interested in STEAM-related fields.

Applicants will be considered based on answers to application questions and in order of applications received. Applying early is encouraged. Any applications received after the due date will be reviewed if the course is not filled.
