All about snow! How does snow form? Why is it said that no two snowflakes are the same? How does snow affect surface-, based critters throughout the winter? What happens when snow melts? All these questions and more will be discussed as we explore the environment around Big Creek, digging snow pits, taking measurements, and understanding the nivean world around us.
NOTE: While this program will discuss characteristics of snow and weather that are pertinent to avalanche safety, this is not a substitute for an actual avalanche awareness course.
