Courses Taught: Fall Photo

Rob has been shooting landscapes in the American West for almost ten years. Originally a filmmaker and videographer, he was drawn to the sheer power, emotion, and drama that can be conveyed in a single image, and gradually transitioned from shooting videos to capturing still images over the years. Rob is an avid outdoorsman, and the world of landscape photography was a perfect solution to combine his love of photography with his passion for hiking, rock and ice climbing, and other backcountry pursuits. As a passionate wilderness lover, he is a staunch advocate for ethical, sustainable, Leave-No-Trace photography practices, and strives to educate other photographers on the importance of preserving our wild places to be re-discovered and enjoyed for generations to come. Originally from Michigan, Rob spent 3 summers working in Yellowstone National Park and it’s been all uphill from there (literally and figuratively!). He currently splits his time between Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula and the mountains of Montana and Wyoming. When not shooting landscapes, he can often be found scaling Teewinot in the Tetons or wandering the backcountry of Yellowstone in search of new haunts (although there’s usually a camera involved there, too!).
