Ages 9-11: This is time that no one should miss! This camp offers an adventure-packed week in the vast, secluded, and enchanting wilderness of the North Fork Valley. Hiking to epic viewpoints and blooming meadows, sampling macroinvertebrates, learning and practicing basic wilderness skills, discovering and learning about local geologic formations, and embracing childhood through classic summer camp fun and games are only a few of the things that we’ll be diving into. Memories will be made and bear claws will be devoured. It’s time to have some North Fork Fun!

This is one your camper wont want to miss! This 4-day camp will offer an adventure-packed week in the vast, secluded, and enchanting wilderness of the North Fork Valley in Glacier Park. The experience will include, hiking to epic viewpoints and blooming meadows, sampling macroinvertebrates, learning, and practicing basic wilderness skills, discovering, and learning about local geologic formations, as well as enjoying classic summer camp fun and games. That’s just a sampling of the exciting things that we’ll be diving into. Memories will be made, and bear claws will be devoured. It’s time to have some North Fork Fun!

What’s Included in your Trip Fee: All meals, lodging, and transportation during camp.
**Please let us know as soon as possible if your child has any special requirements (dietary, medical, physical, etc.) so we may meet their needs. You may send snacks with your child, but all food must be stored in special bins in the Mess Hall to avoid any curious critters visiting our bunkhouses.
Campers will spend time exploring a variety of trails in the Flathead National Forest. We will stop often to learn about the amazing natural history of the area. All campers will be taught trail etiquette, how to stay hydrated, and Leave No Trace principles.
- This Glacier Institute program meets at Big Creek Outdoor Education Center.
- The program will begin 4 p.m. on day 1 and ends 10 a.m. on the final day. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
- There is a maximum number of 24 campers per camp.
- This program has a minimum guest count of 3 people. In the unlikely case we don’t reach that number, you will be notified prior to the event.

What to Bring
We spend as much time as possible outside in the sun, rain, snow, wind, and mud, and there are a few important gear items you are going to need. Labeling your belongings with your name is a fantastic way to make sure they all make it home with you. We do not have the ability to do laundry at our facility, so please pack accordingly.
- Comfortable Hiking Shoes
