Meeting Place: Glacier Institute Big Creek Outdoor Education Center
Check-in: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out: 6:00 p.m.
What’s Included in your Trip Fee: Meals, lodging, and transportation during camp.
**Please let us know as soon as possible if your child has any special requirements (dietary, medical, physical, etc.) so we may meet their needs. You may send snacks with your child, but all food must be stored in special bins in the Mess Hall to avoid any curious critters visiting our bunkhouses.

What to Expect On Your Advanced Backpacking | 6 Day Summer Camp
Campers will spend time exploring a variety of trails in Glacier National Park. We will stop often to learn about the amazing natural history of the area. All campers will be taught trail etiquette, how to stay hydrated, and Leave No Trace principles.
Camp Details
- This Glacier Institute program meets at Big Creek Outdoor Education Center.
- The program will begin 4 p.m. day 1 and ends 6 p.m. on the final day. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
- There is a maximum number of 12 campers per camp.
- This program has a minimum guest count of 3 people. In the unlikely case we don’t reach that number, you will be notified prior to the event.

What to Bring
We will be in the backcountry for almost all of your trip, so you will want to be prepared for unpredictable weather, especially rain, intense sun exposure, cold winds and maybe even snow. We have some gear items available to borrow if needed. Labeling your belongings with your name is a fantastic way to make sure they all make it home with you.
